Capcom has announced a new partnership with DC comics which will see the creation of a new line of comic books based around the the Resident Evil and Devil May Cry franchises.
There are currently no details on when the comics will be available, but the promise of more zombie-based comics is more than enough to get us excited.
"We're ecstatic that Resident Evil is returning to [DC Comics' publishing imprint] WildStorm, where we have already established deep roots into the mythos of this world. We can't wait to continue, and bring a freshness and excitement to the property to match the amazing things they are doing with the game," said Hank Kanalz from WildStorm.
"Dante, Nero and the world of Devil May Cry is a perfect fit for the sensibilities of our studio. We have such terrific inspiration from the anime and games and we intend on meeting the exceptionally high standard of quality that has been set for this," he continued.
It's currently unclear whether the comics will be prequels, sequels or re-tellings - but if there isn't a lead-in to the new Resident Evil 5 game then we'll happily eat the warm flesh of the still-living.
If you're a bit behind on your lore or haven't yet played the latest Devil May Cry then be sure to check out our review of Devil May Cry 4 for the Xbox 360.
Which would be better? A DC interpretation of the Resident Evil universe, or Marvel Zombies 3? Let us know what you think in the forums.
