Valve has announced that co-op zombie shooter Left4Dead is now available for pre-purchase on Steam. That's pre-purchase by the way - so for clarification you'll be paying the full price for the game, with a ten percent discount.
Those who want to take the plunge and pay for the game ahead of time can expect to fork out $44.99 USD thanks to the ten percent discount, which is about £22.50 GBP. The game is not currently available for pre-load though, so don't expect to be downloading the content or actually playing it just yet.
Left4Dead will be fully released next month on the 18th of November, but players can look forward to a demo beforehand. Valve has got around to giving the demo a firm release date too - Halloween: October 31st.
What exactly the demo will consist of is still unconfirmed, but rumour is that it will include the first two maps of the hospital campaign from the full game.
"With just over four weeks until launch, Left 4 Dead is showing every sign of topping The Orange Box on both the PC and Xbox 360, at retail as well as on Steam," added an ambitious Doug Lombardi in a statement to the press.
We were lucky enough to get hands-on with Left4Dead not long ago, so go ahead and check out our Left4Dead hands-on preview, or our interview with game writer Chet Faliszek.
