Peter Molyneux's Lionhead Studios is not currently being ported to the PC despite rumours, say Lionhead employees in official rebukes on the Lionhead forums.
While Lionhead has been busy putting the finishing touches to the first batch of downloadable content for the Xbox 360 exclusive Fable 2, rumours have been circulating that a PC port of the free-roaming RPG is in the works.
Community Managers speaking on the Lionhead forums were pretty clear however, stating outright that "We're not working on a PC version of Fable 2."
"If this changes we'll make sure you know about it on our website(s)," he added, just to help keep the hope alive despite the fact that Fable 2 is firmly listed as an Xbox 360 exclusive by Microsoft.
While the first Fable game was eventually expanded and moved across to the PC, it isn't the first popular series that has abandoned the PC format mid-series. Gears of War was also moved across to the PC eventually, but then Epic confirmed that it would not be working on a PC version of Gears of War 2, ever.
Fable 2 was released by Lionhead back in November last year and you can check out our thoughts on the game in our Fable 2 casual gamer review, written by Joe's little sister.
